Processing of personal data

When you contact the Danish Rail Regulatory Body in connection with a specific case or an enquiry, an electronic case will be created. This means that your inquiry will be saved electronically together with the further correspondence in the matter.

Your case will be stored in accordance with the rules in the Archives Act. Any documents in the case will also be covered by the rules in the Public Disclosure and Administration Act, in line with the the Danish Rail Regulatory Body's other correspondence.

You should be aware that the Data Protection Regulation requires that, by making a complaint to the Danish Rail Regulatory Body, you give express consent to the secretariat receiving, processing and storing the information that you provide to the case.

We process the personal data you provide us in accordance with the rules of the Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act and other legislation. We only process personal data to the extent that it is necessary as part of the performance of our business.

Since all journaling and text processing in the board is done electronically, the case processing is covered by the Personal Data Act. Your rights according to the Personal Data Act are:

  • You have the right to access the electronic information that is processed about you.
  • You have the right to object to the information being processed electronically.
  • You have the right to have information that is incorrect or misleading corrected or deleted, and in this connection you can demand that others who have received the information be informed of this.

You are also welcome to contact the Danish Rail Regulatory Body's data protection officer (DPO), who can advise you about your rights in relation to the Danish Rail Regulatory Body's processing of your personal data. We have the same DPO as the Danish Transport Agency.
